I love that this Langford at-home mini-newborn session was a gift from a close friend! I might be biased, but I think baby photo sessions are the best gift you can give new parents. One of the fun surprises was finding out that Mom is originally from Barrie too. I rarely run into people from my hometown out here, so it was great swapping stories and talking about some of the old stomping grounds we both knew. Dad also had some seriously awesome tattoo sleeves. In fact, his tattoo artist is planning to use one of the photos from this session in his marketing material, which is pretty rad. As for baby? This little one was calm, curious, and completely stole the show.
A lot of families ask when they should book newborn photos, and honestly, there isn’t a right or wrong answer.
Some families love those very early newborn images within the first week of life. Others prefer to wait until their baby is a little older, a little more settled, and starting to spend more time awake. If you do want photos within the first week or two after bringing your baby home, I make sure I’ll be around and available within a couple of months of your due date. You don’t need to pick an exact day when you book. Once your baby arrives, get in touch and we’ll figure it out together and I’m happy to pop by with my camera last minute.
