People often ask, “What’s involved in a newborn session? What should we wear? Do we need to clean the whole house?” The truth is, it’s super laid back. I work around the baby’s needs—feeding, diaper changes, calming breaks—it’s all part of the flow. My approach means there’s never any need for formal posing—just a lot of genuine moments with only a few gentle directions here and there. Holding the baby, laughing together, passing her around, and soaking it all in. These are the kinds of days that pass fast, but they’re the ones people talk about years later. Another question I get asked a lot is, “will we still get lots of variety if we choose a mini-session?” My Victoria BC newborn mini-sessions are easy-going. I give you easy-to-follow directions and we focus on the love you have for your new baby. All you need to do is hold and cuddle your newborn. I’ll also take tons of extra photos of your baby’s features including closeups of hair, eyelashes, feet and finger dimples.
