And it means the world to me that you’re here!
Congratulations on your engagement! Based in beautiful Victoria, BC, I blend raw wedding photojournalism with an art director’s eye for funky, dreamy-creative portraits… captured on both film and digital.
For 15+ years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing couples who value emotion over perfection.
Choosing a wedding photographer is a big deal! This person will be by your side on one of the most emotional, hilarious, and unforgettable days of your life. You’ll want someone who gets you, keeps things relaxed, and captures the moments you didn’t even realize were happening. I get it, and I’m here to help. Ask me anything… seriously! No question is too small or too weird.
All wedding coverage includes:
You also have the option of adding a second photographer (my amazingly talented husband, Derek), and a get-to-know-you casual couples’ portrait session at no additional cost. Signature albums are also included with some collections.
Small weddings and elopements begin at $2,950, while full-day coverage for larger celebrations with 8+ hours of coverage begins at $7,950. Get in touch, and I’ll send you my collection guide with all the details, and we can chat about what would work best for your day.
I know my pricing can sometimes carry a bit of sticker shock. There’s no industry standard for creative work, but my rates reflect the level of artistry, storytelling, and service that my couples consistently say is worth every penny.
My pricing also reflects supply, demand, and 15+ years of experience photographing weddings around the world. I take on only a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple my full attention from start to finish. Because my collections are designed to tell a complete story, I don’t offer discounts or remove pieces. I’ve priced everything fairly and consistently for all my couples… I want every experience to feel exceptional from beginning to end.
Not at all. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate backyard gathering, what matters most to me is the connection between people and the story unfolding. I’ve photographed weddings of every size and style, from mountaintops and city rooftops to cozy backyard parties lit by string lights. If the two of you are madly in love and ready to celebrate in your own way, I’m in.
Yes. I use a hybrid approach that combines digital photography with 35mm analog film. Film is slower and more intentional, which makes it perfect for capturing the atmosphere, light, and emotion of the day. Digital allows me to photograph in any light or setting and capture multiple images in a second to ensure flattering, emotion-filled storytelling moments are captured. The combination of both gives you the best of both worlds… the nostalgia of film and the flexibility of digital.
All 35mm film from your wedding is professionally developed and scanned into high-resolution digital files. This lets you enjoy and share your film photos easily, right alongside your digital ones.
I don’t provide the original negatives, since scanning and colour-correcting are part of my creative process. This ensures every image meets the same quality, tone, and storytelling style as the rest of your collection.
You’re not alone. I’ve worked with a lot of camera-shy people and I have a few secret recipes I’ve developed over the years to help you feel relaxed and confident while you’re being photographed. My approach is very unobtrusive, and my favourite compliment is when people tell me they didn’t even notice I was there. My goal is to help you stay fully absorbed in the moment while I capture you in the most flattering, natural way possible… so you can stay present, feel amazing, and look like rock stars.
Yes! You can add a second photographer to any collection at no additional cost. I work with my amazingly talented husband, Derek. He’s photographed countless weddings with me all over the world for more than 10 years. We’ve built a rhythm that lets us anticipate moments from different angles. Together, we make sure every part of your story is covered beautifully.
I take great pride in using photographic techniques to make sure you look amazing without a lot of extra retouching. My editing style is classic and clean and I’d love for you to have a look through the weddings I’ve posted on my blog to get a sense of how your images will look. If the grass is green, it will be green in your photos. I clean up things like blemishes, but I use a light touch – you’ll never look like a plastic doll. And that means my style may not be for you if you want to look 20 years younger.
You will always receive an unlimited number of images. The only photos I remove are ones with unflattering expressions, or near-duplicates taken a fraction of a second apart… or if I’m experimenting and something didn’t turn out. That means I don’t exclude a photo of your aunt just because it’s not “artistic enough.”
You’ll receive a full collection that genuinely represents your celebration, usually at least a photo per minute and often considerably more.
Yes! Casual couples portraits are complimentary with all wedding collections booked. The session is about 45 minutes and it’s a great way to feel comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.
We can plan something fun around an activity like mini-golf, a hike, or walking your dog. It can be totally natural and candid, or we can create something more artistic and styled… or a mix of both. I see it as a way to get to know each other, like a meet-up but with my camera. So many couples tell me it helped take the pressure off their wedding day, and some even use their photos for their guest book, websites or save-the-dates.
Absolutely! Let me know your plans and count me in!
I know you’ll be excited to see your images and that’s why I curate highlights from your day (about 30-50 images) as a sneak peek slideshow within one week of the wedding. You’ll then receive the rest of your images within six weeks of your celebration.
Just like a chef wouldn’t give you a recipe and shopping list for ingredients, I don’t provide unfinished RAW files. What you receive are the fully crafted, ready-to-enjoy images that best represent both you and my work.
I am based in Victoria, BC on beautiful Vancouver Island and I offer wedding photography throughout the Greater Victoria area (Sooke, Sidney, Saanich, North Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Victoria, Cobble Hill and Mill Bay).
