Shannon & Dion’s Wedding at Church & State Wines in Victoria

Shannon and Dion are so incredibly charming and that’s how their wedding day felt – completely 100% charming. We’ve had record heat-waves in Victoria so it was a happy day to see some clouds in the sky and to have a nice breeze, but experience no rain! They had their ceremony at the beautiful Church & State Wines in Victoria, surrounded by their closest family and friends. You could feel the love everywhere. These two had a truly long distance relationship at one point, once when Shannon was working on her master’s degree in Finland and while she was doing her research in Uganda. “He came out to the middle of nowhere Africa to find me in the villages in a war zone – no running water, no electricity. I still remember so clearly him getting off the tiniest plane ever to see me.” Dion gave Shannon the best proposal ever, carving “Will you marry me?” into a pumpkin at Halloween! A very special thank you to my second photographer Deanna McCollum who took many of the photos in this collection. Shannon & Dion, a huge congratulations! We loved spending your perfect day with you!

My years of experience photographing weddings means I have all kinds of secret tricks to take amazing portraits of you and your family without needing to be in your close physical space. And my style also means you'll have lots of variety in your pictures without us needing to be any closer than six feet apart.

My business is following the guidelines set out by B.C.'s incredible PHO, Dr. Henry, and I will be wearing a mask. If I even feel mildly ill before our scheduled time together, we can reschedule or I am happy to find you another fantastic photographer to replace me. And if you need to cancel because you're not feeling well, it's all good. We can schedule your portraits for another time.

I will take every precaution to make sure we take your portraits in the safest way possible.
