THE WORKSHOP IS NOW SOLD OUT
Join the Facebook Fan Page to find out about upcoming workshops across Canada this summer and fall.
Questions Do I need to know how to use my camera? YES. You are expected to know how to manually control your camera for aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The course is designed for people who have intermediate skills in photography who want to build skills for shooting weddings. Unfortunately, there won't be time to teach you how to operate or manually over-ride your camera. If you aren't sure, please contact me and we can chat about your current skills to see if the workshop would benefit you. What do I need to bring?
You will be required to have a DSLR camera, an external flash, plus at least one wide or mid-length zoom lens and a telephoto lens. You will also need a laptop and a means to copy your photos from your card to your computer. Bring more than 20 GIG of cards for the hands-on shooting. You should also bring your camera and flash manual. What software skills do I need A basic understanding of Photoshop and/or Lightroom is a bonus, but is not required. What are the hours? This course is intense. We will work from 10am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday... living, breathing and eating photography. We will take a one hour break for lunch and a 1.5 hour break for dinner. I'm coming in from out of town? Where should I stay? Our classroom will be in one of the suites at the Executive House Hotel in Victoria. The hotel has reasonable rates for rooms and you'll be down the hall from our daily in-class sessions. |
