Getting Married in Maui, Hawaii - Frequent Questions
What are the legal requirements for getting married in Maui, Hawaii?
You don't need a blood test or waiting period to get married in Maui. You only need to visit the licensing agent. Call (808) 984-8210 for the name of an agent. Both of you will need to be there in person nt when the license is issued. The license is valid for 30 days. Both partners must be 18 years old or else you will need a parent’s consent. If you are divorced, you will need to provide the date, county and state where the divorce was finalized. The application also requires the name (full name, plus maiden name) and birthplaces of each of your parents. The marriage license which costs $60 payable in cash gives you permission to get married in Maui.
When your wedding is complete, you will need to have a marriage certificate prepared and filed with the Department of Health by your licensed marriage official.
