Simran & Jesse’s Sikh Wedding | Wedding Photography Victoria & Edmonton
I have to say, this is one of the hardest blog posts I’ve ever put together. After spending a week with this super chill and fun couple couple going through all of the pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding festivities involved in a Sikh affair, I had to leave out a lot of favourites just so this post didn’t have two million photos. The events were so jammed-packed with visual eye candy, plus with Simran moving from Victoria to Edmonton that very week it was also very emotional. We started the week with Simran’s Mehndi, then an engagement/sangeet party to begin the festivities, the wedding ceremony itself at the Khalsa Diwan Sikh Temple, a send-off at Simran’s mother’s house and then a trip to Edmonton to treat Jesse’s posse to an all-out blast at the reception. I shot this wedding with my friend and fabulous photographer Gwen Ewart and I’m so excited to share some of her pictures here. We also joined our friends and videographers Myah Dhillon, Cole Hofstra and Carrie Vokey. They shared a same-week edit of the Victoria ceremony during the reception and it was so awesome. Jesse & Simran, thank you so much for including us as part of your day and a huge congratulations!
